We have a St Johns Ambulance approved first aid kit, BS EN approved fire blanket and BS EN approved smoke alarms fitted on all floors. These are checked monthly and confirmed in the attendance book.
As registered childminders, our house has passed strict safety standards and we will adhere to these standards ensuring a safe and secure environment for your child, both inside and outside.
We are legally required to have a valid first-aid certificate and in the unlikely event of an accident we can administer basic first-aid treatment. We will ask for permission when we complete our contracts with you.
We each hold Public Liability Insurance and are happy to show you a copy of our certificates.
On outings we will use the appropriate safety harnesses on buggies and safety restraints for older walkers as requested by parents. We have business insurance on both our cars and where parental permission has been given for travel by car we will use appropriate child seats in accordance with current law. We do have to gain your permission to go on outings and for transport in the car, we will ask for this when we complete our contracts with you.
We have a full St Johns Ambulance approved first aid kit in the kitchen and are both first aid trained holding the ‘Life Savers Baby and Children’ certificate.
There are smoke alarms in the hall and at the top of the stairwell which is also fitted with a light. These are checked first monthly and you will see confirmation of this in the attendance book which you sign weekly. We carry out full fire drills every 6 months.
